Dancers at LICSB are required to wear our uniform during class. Our dress code is in place to help students stay focused by:

• Reinforcing that they are in a structured learning environment

• Preventing clothing from becoming a distraction

• Ensuring that every dancer is dressed appropriately and safely for movement and technique

Refund Policy

At the Long Island City School of Ballet (LICSB), we value commitment and dedication to dance education. To ensure the continuity of our programs and maintain operational consistency, we have a strict no-refund policy for tuition and fees.

General Policy

• Tuition and other fees are non-refundable, regardless of the time of cancellation or whether classes have commenced.
• We encourage new students to schedule a trial class before registering to ensure our program meets their expectations.

Withdrawals After Registration

• If a student withdraws from a class after registration for any reason, all tuition and fees paid remain non-refundable.

Injury Exception (Credit Policy)

• In the event of a significant injury after the program begins that prevents a student from completing the remainder of the term, a pro-rated credit towards future LICSB classes may be requested.
• To qualify for this credit, the following conditions must be met:
  • A signed and dated note from a licensed physician on official letterhead is required.
  • The note must clearly indicate the nature of the injury and specify a return date that falls after the current semester term ends.
• Please note that credits will not be issued for classes missed within the current semester.

By registering for classes at LICSB, students and families acknowledge and accept this refund policy.
